Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli and his spouse Madam Jumelah Ja’afar will visit Brunei Darussalam from 19 to 22 July 2015 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Minister Masagos will be accompanied by Minister of State for National Development and Defence Dr Maliki Osman, Minister of State for National Development Mr Desmond Lee and their spouses. This is the fourth year in a row that Minister Masagos has led a delegation from Singapore to join in the Hari Raya celebrations in Brunei. The visit reflects the warm and close friendship between the two countries.
The Singapore delegation will visit the Istana Nurul Iman to personally convey the Hari Raya wishes of Singapore’s leaders to the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, and the Raja Isteri, Her Majesty Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.
The Singapore delegation will also attend a Hari Raya Open House hosted by Brunei Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Badaruddin Othman, and visit other Bruneian Ministers and senior officials. Minister Masagos will also be the Guest of Honour at a Open House organised by the Singapore High Commission in Brunei on 22 July 2015. The Open House will celebrate both Hari Raya and SG50. Senior Bruneian leaders and officials will be invited to the Open House.
