Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will lead a group of young Singapore political office holders to Brunei Darussalam from 4 to 7 October 2015 for the 3rd Young Leaders’ Programme (YLP). The YLP was established in 2013 to strengthen relations between both countries, particularly between the younger generation of leaders. DPM Teo led the Singapore delegation to Brunei Darussalam for the inaugural YLP from 19 to 21 August 2013. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam, led the Brunei delegation for the 2nd YLP from 1 to 5 September 2014 in Singapore.

During the visit, DPM Teo and the delegation will have an audience with His Majesty the Sultan. They will also have an audience with and be hosted to lunch by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah. The delegation will be also hosted to dinner by His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and meet their respective counterparts. DPM will also launch a photo exhibition that showcases key moments in our bilateral relations, entitled “Brunei-Singapore: A Special Relationship” with Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna. DPM will deliver a special lecture at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, on our bilateral relationship, entitled “Singapore-Brunei: Ties that Bind”.
