MFA Press Statement: Singapore’s Representation at the Official Mourning Ceremony of Former Chancellor of West Germany Helmut Schmidt on 23 November 2015

Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Defence Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman will represent the Government of the Republic of Singapore at the official mourning ceremony of former Chancellor of West Germany Helmut Schmidt on 23 November 2015 in Hamburg, Germany.

Mr Schmidt was the Chancellor of West Germany from 1974 to 1982. Mr Schmidt passed away on 10 November 2015 at the age of 96.

Senior Minister of State Dr Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
