MFA Press Statement: Visit by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan to the Kingdom of Spain, 15 to 18 November 2015

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will visit Spain from 15 to 18 November 2015.

Minister Balakrishnan will meet Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain José García-Margallo y Marfil in Madrid. This will be Minister Balakrishnan’s first meeting with the Spanish Foreign Minister. In addition, Minister Balakrishnan, who is also the Minister-in-charge of the Smart Nation Initiative, will attend the Smart Cities Expo World Congress (SCEWC), which is being held from 17 to 18 November 2015 in Barcelona. At the SCEWC, he will speak at the first plenary session of the Congress on 17 November 2015, and open the Singapore Dialogue: Building a Smart Nation, an SCEWC side event, on 18 November 2015.

Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Smart Nation Programme Office.
