“Singapore welcomes the announcement of Implementation Day of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear programme on 16 January 2016. This follows the verification by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that Iran has met all its key nuclear commitments under the JCPOA, and marks the lifting of nuclear-related sanctions, outlined in the agreement, by the United Nations Security Council, the European Union and the United States of America.
We urge all parties to continue to fulfil their obligations under the JCPOA and call on Iran to continue its cooperation with the IAEA. This will reassure the international community that Iran’s nuclear programme remains exclusively for peaceful purposes.”
