MFA Press Statement: Official Visit of Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Erna Solberg to Singapore, 12 to 14 April 2016

            Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Erna Solberg will make an official visit to Singapore from 12 to 14 April 2016. An official welcome ceremony will be held for Prime Minister Solberg on 13 April 2016.  Prime Minister Solberg will call on President Tony Tan Keng Yam, and meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who will also host lunch.

            Prime Minister Solberg will deliver the keynote address at the 6th Norway-Asia Business Summit on 13 April 2016.  She will also deliver a public lecture titled “The Global Goals – A Roadmap to a Sustainable, Fair and More Peaceful Future” as part of the IISS Fullerton Lecture series on 13 April 2016.  In addition, Prime Minister Solberg will tour the DNV GL’s Singapore Laboratory, a Norwegian firm whose Asia Pacific headquarters is in Singapore.

            Prime Minister Solberg will be accompanied by State Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Torkild Solli Haukaas, and senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

            Prime Minister Solberg’s visit will reaffirm the warm and long-standing relationship between Singapore and Norway.
