MFA Press Release: Photo of meeting between DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam and New Zealand's Minister Steven Joyce, 7 June 2016
Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam hosted the New Zealand Minister for Economic Development, Regulatory Reform, Science and Innovation, Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment and Associate Minister of Finance Steven Joyce to lunch this afternoon. Minister Joyce briefed DPM Tharman on New Zealand’s economic priorities, including its initiatives to promote business innovation and trade expansion. They also exchanged views on future directions in education and building innovative and competitive economies. The Ministers reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between Singapore and New Zealand and noted the potential for closer cooperation in areas of mutual interest and expertise.
