Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will make a visit to Kunming, Yunnan Province, China from 13 to 14 June 2016 to attend the Special ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
As Singapore is the Country Coordinator for ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, Minister Balakrishnan will co-chair the Special ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi. The meeting will discuss ASEAN-China relations, and the Full and Effective Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and Consultations on the Code of Conduct.
Minister Balakrishnan and the ASEAN Foreign Ministers will also be hosted to dinners by Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Yunnan Provincial Leaders.
Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
