Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan who is in New York for the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, participated in the Special Foreign Ministers’ Session of the 25th Major Economies Forum, which discussed the next steps towards the entry into force and implementation of the Paris Agreement under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Minister Balakrishnan also participated in the ASEAN-US Foreign Ministers meeting co-chaired by US Secretary of State John Kerry and Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anifah Aman, and met his counterparts from Cuba, Comoros, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahrain, Nepal, and Burundi, to reaffirm our good bilateral relations, and explore ways to further strengthen our links.
