MFA Press Statement: Official Visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al Thani, 4 to 5 October 2016

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al Thani, will make an official visit to Singapore from 4 to 5 October 2016, at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed will be hosted to dinner by Minister Balakrishnan on 4 October 2016. On 5 October 2016, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed will call on President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam. He will also be delivering the 3^rd S R Nathan Distinguished Lecture organised by the National University of Singapore’s Middle East Institute. Named after the late Mr S R Nathan, Singapore’s sixth President, the Lecture invites prominent statesmen and distinguished intellectuals to Singapore with the aim of promoting a deeper understanding of the Middle East.
