The Government of the Republic of Singapore is deeply saddened by the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand.
President Tony Tan Keng Yam has written to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn to express his deepest condolences.
On behalf of the Singapore Government, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to Thailand’s Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha to convey Singapore's deepest condolences to the people of Thailand on their great loss. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan has also written to Thailand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai.

History will remember His Majesty King Bhumibol as a great monarch, and a unifying force deeply loved and respected by the Thai people and the rest of the world.
