MOHAMED AHMED FATHI ABULKHEIR

AMBASSADOR OF ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT TO SINGAPORE

       

       Mr Mohamed Ahmed Fathi Abulkheir was appointed as the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Singapore in October 2016.  Prior to his current appointment, Mr Abulkheir was the Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for International Specialised Agencies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo from 2015 to 2016.   

        A career diplomat, Mr Abulkheir joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989 as a Diplomatic Attaché.  In terms of overseas assignment, he served in Rabat, Washington DC, Geneva and Tunis.  His last post was at the Egyptian Embassy in Morocco, holding the position of Deputy Chief of Mission from 2011 to 2014.  He had also held several appointments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including as Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Mashreq Affairs from 2014 to 2015. 

        Majoring in economics, Mr Abulkheir graduated from the Cairo University in 1988.  He speaks Arabic, French and English.

        Mr Abulkheir is married to Ms Nessrine Nafie, and is a father to a son and a daughter.

TSHEWANG CHOPHEL DORJI

AMBASSADOR OF KINGDOM OF BHUTAN TO SINGAPORE

 

 

 

        Tshewang C. Dorji was born in 1969 in Bhutan.

        After attending Delhi University, he joined the Wangchuk Lo Dzong Military Training School in Bhutan and was commissioned as an officer in the Royal Bhutan Army in 1991.

        In 1995, he joined the Bhutanese Foreign Service and has served as First Secretary and Second Secretary at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi (1997-2002); Minister Counsellor and Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Bhutan in New York (2006-2010).

        Prior to his Ambassadorial appointment, he was the Chief of the Regional Organizations Division and the UN Peacekeeping Coordination Office. In May 2016, he was appointed as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand with concurrent accreditation to Australia, Myanmar and Singapore. He was conferred with the Ceremonial Scarf and Sword by His Majesty the King in May 2016. He is also recipient of the Druk Yuegyal medal for service in the armed forces from His Majesty the Fourth King. In 2013, he received the Civil Service Silver Medal.

        He speaks Dzongkha (national language), English, Hindi and Nepali. He is married to Karma Tsering and they have a daughter.
