Singapore will host the Seventh Session of the High-Level Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) on 25 November 2016. The IGC, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mr Igor Shuvalov, is a high-level dialogue aimed at strengthening broad-based cooperation between Russia and Singapore.
In conjunction with the IGC, the two DPMs will also participate in a Keynote Dialogue at the 11th Russia-Singapore Business Forum (RSBF). The RSBF will explore how both sides can boost bilateral trade and investments. Over 200 Russian and Singapore business representatives are expected to participate in the RSBF.
DPM Tharman will be accompanied by Ms Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Law; Mrs Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Transport; and Dr Koh Poh Koon, Minister of State, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Trade and Industry.
