MFA Press Statement: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Bonn, Germany, 16 to 17 February 2017

               Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will attend the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Bonn, Germany, from 16 to 17 February 2017.  Singapore has been invited to participate in the G20 process as the representative of the Global Governance Group.[1]

               The G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting will discuss how countries can cooperate more effectively to address key global challenges, including sustainable development, sustaining peace, and assisting Africa in its development. 

               Minister Balakrishnan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
