Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Defence and Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman will visit the State of Qatar from 2 to 3 April 2017, and the Islamic Republic of Iran from 4 to 8 April 2017. This visit is part of Singapore’s ongoing engagement with the countries of the Middle East.
In Qatar, SMS Maliki will call on Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. SMS Maliki will also meet with Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan Bin Saad Al Muraikhi, among other meetings.
Following the visit to Qatar, SMS Maliki will make an introductory visit to Iran at the invitation of Iran’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Samadi.
SMS Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
