Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli and Madam Jumelah Ja’afar attended the Royal Guard of Honour Ceremony and Investiture Ceremony this morning. They had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, where Minister Masagos conveyed birthday greetings from Singapore’s leaders to His Majesty. His Majesty and Minister Masagos reaffirmed the close and excellent bilateral relations between Singapore and Brunei, which are underpinned by the warm personal ties and frequent high-level exchanges between both sides. Minister Masagos also expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s successful State Visit to Singapore from 5 to 6 July 2017 which underscored the special relationship between Singapore and Brunei. Later this evening, Minister Masagos and Madam Jumelah Ja’afar will attend the Royal Banquet.
Minister Masagos also visited the homes of several former and current Bruneian Ministers to exchange Hari Raya greetings during his visit.
