MFA Spokesman's Comments on the Terrorist Attack in Barcelona, Spain, 17 August 2017

        Singapore strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain on 17 August 2017 that killed and injured many innocent people. We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with the people of Spain at this difficult time.

        MFA has reached out to Singaporeans who are e-Registered in Barcelona to ascertain their safety. There have been no reports of Singaporeans directly affected by or injured in the incident.  MFA will continue to work with the relevant authorities in Barcelona to monitor the situation closely.
