The Prime Minister of Hungary, His Excellency Viktor Orbán, will make his first official visit to Singapore from 26 to 27 September 2017, at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Prime Minister Orbán’s visit reaffirms the growing bilateral relations between Singapore and Hungary, one of the emerging economies in Central and Eastern Europe.
An official Welcome Ceremony will be held in honour of Prime Minister Orbán on 26 September. Prime Minister Orbán will call on President Halimah Yacob and meet Prime Minister Lee, who will also host an Official Dinner.
While in Singapore, Prime Minister Orbán will also visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens where an orchid will be named in his honour, as well as attend the Singapore-Hungary Business Forum.
Prime Minister Orbán will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga, Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták, and Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas, senior government officials and a business delegation.
