MFA Press Statement: Visit of Chairman of the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia and Malaysian Member of Parliament Dato’ Sri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim to Singapore from 2 to 5 October 2017

              Chairman of the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia and Malaysian Member of Parliament for Kuala Selangor (Selangor) Dato’ Sri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim will visit Singapore from 2 to 5 October 2017 under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Distinguished Visitors Programme (DVP).  The DVP, which started in June 2005, invites outstanding foreign dignitaries to Singapore to help forge closer bilateral ties and foster mutual cooperation through the exchange of views with Singapore leaders and officials.  

               During his visit, Dato’ Sri Irmohizam will call on Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin.  Dato’ Sri Irmohizam will also meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Chan Chun Sing, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Baey Yam Keng, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Health, Amrin Amin, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

              Dato’ Sri Irmohizam will also visit various government agencies and educational institutions, including the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore, Corruption Practices Investigation Bureau, National Youth Council and the National University of Singapore’s Law Faculty.
