Australian Member of Parliament and Shadow Minister for Employment Services, Workforce Participation and Future of Work and concurrently Shadow Minister for the Digital Economy The Honourable Ed Husic will visit Singapore as the 59th Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellow from 6 to 11 November 2017.
Mr Husic will call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Manpower Lim Swee Say, Minister for Education (Schools) and Second Minister for Transport Ng Chee Meng, and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Education, Dr Janil Puthucheary. Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship (LKYEF) Chairman Eddie Teo will meet and host a welcome dinner for Mr Husic.
Mr Husic will also receive briefings by Singapore agencies such as the Cyber Security Agency, the National Research Foundation, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, SG Innovate, Action Community for Entrepreneurship, MUIS, and SkillsFuture.
These exchanges help to foster dialogue and collaboration between Singapore and Australia, and will deepen our bilateral relationship across the public and private sectors.
Established in 1991, the LKYEF invites outstanding individuals for high-level visits to Singapore. The Fellows are chosen on the basis of their track records and extraordinary potential to contribute to the development of their nations and to bilateral relations with Singapore.
