MFA Press Statement: Visit of Brady-Johnson Distinguished Practitioner in Grand Strategy at Yale University Jake Sullivan under the S R Nathan Fellowship, 15 to 17 January 2018

Mr Jake Sullivan, Brady-Johnson Distinguished Practitioner in Grand Strategy at Yale University, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean today. Mr Sullivan is visiting Singapore under the S R Nathan Fellowship.  DPM Teo and Mr Sullivan had a wide-ranging discussion on developments in the US and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the US’ role in the world.

Mr Sullivan will be participating in public speaking engagements at the National University of Singapore’s Centre for International Law and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy later today.  He will also be hosted to lunch by Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam, and will call on Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Secretary-General of the National Trade Unions Congress Chan Chun Sing tomorrow.

The S R Nathan Fellowship is a high-level programme where foreign leaders, prominent personalities and opinion-shapers are invited to Singapore to exchange ideas and experiences on important issues with Singapore leaders and senior government officials. The Fellowship was launched by former President S R Nathan and then-Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam in November 2012.
