MFA Press Statement: Visit by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman to Jakarta and Surabaya, The Republic of Indonesia, 13 to 15 March 2018

Senior Minister of State (SMS), Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman will make a working visit to Jakarta and Surabaya from 13 to 15 March 2018. This visit is part of Singapore’s continued efforts to expand cooperation and deepen ties with Indonesia’s key cities and regions.

In Surabaya, SMS Maliki will meet with local leaders and personalities, including from the media and business sectors. SMS Maliki will also have a dialogue with students from Airlangga University, and visit a pesantren.

In Jakarta, SMS Maliki will meet with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs A.M. Fachir, Jakarta Vice-Governor Sandiaga Uno, Special Envoy of the President for Interfaith and Intercivilisational Dialogue and Cooperation Din Syamsuddin, and Muhammadiyah Chairman Haedar Nashir. SMS Maliki will also meet with local business leaders and young politicians.

SMS Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
