In response to media queries, the MFA Spokesperson said that Singapore supported the international efforts to achieve peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, through our hosting of the Summit between the President of the United States and the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on 12 June 2018.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had previously estimated that the Summit would cost around $20 million to host. The actual cost incurred by the Singapore Government is approximately $16.3 million, the biggest component of which was on security.
