Turkey and Singapore enjoy warm and growing ties. Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries. This is a joyous occasion for both countries to commemorate and celebrate.

Singapore and Turkey share a Strategic Partnership underpinned by strong political and economic ties. We enjoy close cooperation in the aviation, maritime, science and technology, and education sectors. Our people-to-people ties are also growing. The entry into force of the Turkey-Singapore Free Trade Agreement in 2017 will further strengthen our cooperation. 2019 will be an important milestone as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations. Singapore is also committed to supporting Turkey in its efforts to engage ASEAN as a Sectoral Dialogue Partner.
