MFA Press Statement: Working Visit of Her Excellency Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, 19 to 22 August 2018

18 August 2018

Her Excellency Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, will make a working visit to Singapore from 19 to 22 August 2018 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi will be accompanied by Union Minister for the Office of the Union Government and National Security Advisor Thaung Tun, Union Minister for International Cooperation Kyaw Tin and Deputy Minister for the Office of The President Min Thu.

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi will call on President Halimah Yacob and PM Lee. PM Lee will also host lunch for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi will meet Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, DPM Teo Chee Hean and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan during her visit. She will also deliver the 43^rd Singapore Lecture on 21 August 2018.
