MFA Press Statement: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan at the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly

Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will attend the 73^rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York from 23 to 29 September 2018.   

Minister Balakrishnan will deliver Singapore’s statement at the General Debate of the UNGA.  Among the events he will attend are the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit, the 2^nd One Planet Summit, and a United States High Level event on a Global Call to Action on the World Drug Problem. 

Minister Balakrishnan will also host the 11^th Global Governance Group (3G) Ministerial Meeting, chair the Informal ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with the UN Secretary General and President of the 73^rd UNGA, as well as attend other ASEAN-related meetings. Minister Balakrishnan will also have a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
