His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), visited Singapore to co-chair the 11th Abu Dhabi-Singapore Joint Forum (ADSJF) with Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations S Iswaran. While in Singapore, Chairman Al Mubarak also called on Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan separately.
Chairman Al Mubarak and DPM Tharman affirmed the excellent bilateral links between the UAE and Singapore. DPM Tharman expressed that Singapore valued the strong economic cooperation between both countries. Chairman Al Mubarak and DPM Tharman also exchanged views on current developments in Asia and the Middle East.
During Chairman Al Mubarak’s call on Minister Balakrishnan, both sides acknowledged the long-standing, friendly and broad-based bilateral relations between the UAE and Singapore. Minister Balakrishnan and Chairman Al Mubarak had a good discussion on developments in the Middle East. Minister Balakrishnan welcomed further opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and reiterated our invitation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to visit Singapore.
