Ahmed Abdulla Alhajeri

AMBASSADOR TO SINGAPORE

KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

 

 

Ambassador Ahmed Abdulla Al Hajeri holds a Bachelor of Laws (Private Law) from Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain in 1983, where he has served in various capacities, as well as in overseas missions in China, France, Kuwait, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.

 

Ambassador Ahmed, who is based in Bangkok, is concurrently accredited to Bangladesh, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Director of Arab Affairs at the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 2012 to February 2018.

Gediminas Varvuolis

AMBASSADOR TO SINGAPORE

REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

 

Ambassador Gediminas Varvuolis is a career diplomat. He is the Ambassador of Lithuania to Singapore, and is concurrently accredited to Japan, New Zealand (non-resident) and Australia (non-resident). 

 

Varvuolis joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania in 1995. His assignments in Lithuania’s diplomatic service include serving as Deputy Permanent Representative to NATO and Director of the Transatlantic Cooperation and Security Policy Department. Prior to his current appointments, Varvuolis was Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and was concurrently accredited to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

 

Varvuolis was awarded the Ministry of Defence of Lithuania’s highest level decoration for civilians - the Medal for Merits in 2011, the Cross of the Knight in 2004 and the French National Order of Merits in 1997.

 

Varvuolis graduated from the Faculty of History at Vilnius University and the Institute of Political Sciences in Paris.

 

 

He is married with a son and a daughter.
