Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Enzo Moavero Milanesi is on an Official Visit to Singapore.
Minister Moavero paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong earlier today. They welcomed the strengthening ties between Singapore and Italy and the ratification of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) by the European Parliament which would further strengthen ties between the two countries and regions.
Minister Moavero was also hosted to breakfast by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan today. They reaffirmed our longstanding and warm bilateral relations, common outlook as maritime nations, and agreed to explore new areas of cooperation. The Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Minister Moavero will depart Singapore tomorrow morning.
