His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will make a State Visit to Singapore from 19 to 20 June 2019 at the invitation of President Halimah Yacob. This will be King Abdullah II’s third State Visit.
In conjunction with his State Visit, King Abdullah II will be delivering the Keynote Address at the International Conference on Cohesive Societies on 20 June 2019.
King Abdullah II will receive a ceremonial welcome at the Istana and pay a courtesy call on President Halimah, who will host a State Banquet in His Majesty’s honour. King Abdullah II will visit the Singapore Armed Forces Commandos on 19 June 2019. On 20 June 2019, King Abdullah II will visit Nanyang Technological University. He will meet business leaders at a roundtable organised by the Singapore Business Federation.
Two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) on the Establishment of a Bilateral Consultation Mechanism, and on Water Resources Management respectively will be signed during the visit.
King Abdullah II will be accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein; His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi; Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Walid Maani; Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr Tariq Hammouri; and Minister of Digital Economy & Entrepreneurship Mothanna Gharaibeh.
