Official Visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, His Excellency Nikol Pashinyan, 7 to 9 July 2019

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, His Excellency Nikol Pashinyan, will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 7 to 9 July 2019, at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. This is Prime Minister Pashinyan’s first Official Visit to Singapore. Prime Minister Pashinyan’s visit reaffirms the warm and friendly relations between Armenia and Singapore, and will be an opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation.

  

  Prime Minister Pashinyan will receive an official Welcome Ceremony at the Istana on 8 July. This will be followed by a courtesy call on President Halimah Yacob and a call on Prime Minister Lee, who will also host an Official Lunch. During his visit, Prime Minister Pashinyan will also pay a courtesy call on Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan Jin. In addition, he will visit the Economic Development Board, meet business leaders at a roundtable organised by the Singapore Business Federation, and visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens where an orchid will be named in his honour. He will also visit the Armenian Church and meet the Armenian community here. During his visit, he will unveil a sculpture of Vanda Miss Joaquim flowers in the First Botanic Garden at Armenian Street that has been contributed by the Armenian community.

 

Prime Minister Pashinyan will be accompanied by his wife, Madame Anna Hakobyan­­­­, Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of High-Technological Industry Hakob Arshakyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts and senior government officials.
