The Government has appointed Mr Dominic Goh Kian Swee as Singapore’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Mr Wong Chow Ming as Singapore’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mr Dominic Goh joined the Foreign Service in October 1994. He was Singapore’s Ambassador to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from 2015 to 2019. Mr Goh served twice at the Singapore Embassy in Berlin, as First Secretary from 1999 to 2000, and Deputy Chief of Mission from 2004 to 2008. He was First Secretary at the Singapore Embassy in Bonn from 1997 to 1999. Mr Goh has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs covering Consular, ASEAN, International Economics and Europe. He was Director-General of the Europe Directorate from 2012 to 2014.
Mr Goh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 1990. In 2004, he obtained a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, United States of America.
Mr Goh was appointed an honorary Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2014, and was awarded the Long Service Medal in 2017. He was also awarded the Cross of Friendship by the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in 2019. Mr Goh is married to Madam Sharon Goh.
Mr Wong Chow Ming joined the Foreign Service in 1996. He has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, covering Southeast Asia, ASEAN and International Economics. Mr Wong was Deputy High Commissioner at the Singapore High Commission in New Delhi from 2008 to 2011, and Counsellor at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta from 2001 to 2004. He was Director-General of the International Economics Directorate from 2012 to 2019. Prior to this appointment, Mr Wong was Director/Special Duties (Energy).
Mr Wong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in 1990. In 1999, he obtained a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Mr Wong is married to Madam Christine Wong and they have four children.

AMBASSADOR TO THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT

Mr Goh joined the Singapore Foreign Service in October 1994. He was Singapore’s Ambassador to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from 2015 to 2019, and served twice at the Singapore Embassy in Berlin as Deputy Chief of Mission and Counsellor (2004 to 2008) and First Secretary (1999 to 2000), and at Singapore Embassy in Bonn as First Secretary (1997 to 1999).
Mr Goh served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on issues covering Consular, ASEAN, International Economics and Europe. He was Director-General of the Europe Directorate from 2012 to 2014.
Mr Goh obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore in 1990. He was awarded the Singapore Government Scholarship in 2003 and obtained his Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, United States of America in 2004.

AMBASSADOR TO THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
