Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit the Republic of Korea (ROK) from 22 to 27 November 2019. Prime Minister Lee will be in Seoul for a bilateral visit from 22 to 24 November. After his visit to Seoul, Prime Minister Lee will attend the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit (ARCS) from 25 to 26 November, in Busan.
In Seoul, Prime Minister Lee will meet ROK President Moon Jae-in. President Moon will also host an Official Lunch for Prime Minister Lee. Both Leaders will witness the signing and exchanges of Memoranda of Understanding in the areas of standards and conformance, manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, smart cities and cyber-cooperation.
In Busan, Prime Minister Lee and the other ASEAN Leaders will join President Moon in commemorating the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue Relations. At the ARCS, the Leaders will take stock of the ASEAN-ROK relationship, and discuss ways to strengthen linkages. They will also exchange views on regional and international issues.
Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Foreign Affairs) (Trade and Industry) Dr Tan Wu Meng, as well as officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Enterprise Singapore and Health Sciences Authority.
During the Prime Minister’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat will be the Acting Prime Minister for the period 22 to 27 November 2019.
