Congratulatory Letter from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

27 September 2021

Dear Prime Minister Trudeau,

Congratulations on your re-election as the Prime Minister of Canada.  Your victory re-affirms the Canadian peoples trust in your leadership, as you lead Canadas recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and implement your policy agenda and vision for the way forward.

Singapore and Canada enjoy an excellent relationship. Our longstanding partnership has continued to broaden over the years. Even amidst the pandemic, our two countries have worked together to preserve essential global links and support vaccine multilateralism. We engage in wide-ranging collaboration and are exploring cooperation opportunities in new and emerging areas, such as infrastructure development, smart cities, the digital economy, as well as climate change and green finance. Building on this strong foundation, I am confident that Singapore-Canada relations will continue to grow from strength to strength.

I wish you good health and every success, and I look forward to continue working with you.

Yours sincerely,

LEE HSIEN LOONG

The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau

Prime Minister

Canada
