Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will visit New York from 27 to 29 April 2022 for a series of United Nations (UN)-related engagements.
On 28 April 2022, Minister Balakrishnan will speak at a High-Level Meeting on the Implementation of the New Urban Agenda, convened by the President of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly (PGA) His Excellency Abdulla Shahid. Minister Balakrishnan will also speak at an informal high-level roundtable of the Forum of Small States, convened by Singapore, on the theme of “Small States, Multilateralism, and International Law”.
On 29 April 2022, Minister Balakrishnan will speak at a high-level commemorative plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly convened by PGA Shahid to mark the 40th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
