ASEAN Leaders will review ASEAN’s progress and discuss ways to further enhance collaboration in our digital and green economies. The Leaders will also discuss the geopolitical situation, with the view to maintain ASEAN’s central role in an open, inclusive and stable regional architecture. Discussions are expected to cover international and regional developments, including the situation in Myanmar.
PM Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, as well as officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong will be Acting Prime Minister from 9 to 10 May 2023, and Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean on 11 May 2023, in PM’s absence.
