Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 1 to 3 June 2023 for the 8th Singapore-Australia Annual Leaders’ Meeting. The Annual Leaders’ Meeting was established under the Singapore-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and is a key platform for the Prime Ministers of both countries to discuss bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and international developments.
Prime Minister Albanese will receive a ceremonial welcome and call on President Halimah Yacob at the Istana on 2 June 2023. As Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has tested positive for COVID-19, Acting Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will hold the Annual Leaders’ Meeting with Prime Minister Albanese. Acting Prime Minister Wong will also host an Official Lunch for Prime Minister Albanese after the meeting. Prime Minister Albanese will have a new orchid hybrid named in his honour.
Prime Minister Albanese will deliver the Keynote Address at the 20th edition of the Shangri-La Dialogue organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies on 2 June 2023.
