President Halimah Yacob will make a State Visit to the State of Qatar from 19 to 22 June 2023 at the invitation of His Highness Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
President Halimah will be accorded a State Welcome Ceremony and call on Sheikh Tamim, who will host a State Luncheon in President’s honour. President Halimah will be hosted to a visit to the National Museum of Qatar by Her Excellency Chairperson of Qatar Museums Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani. President Halimah will also meet the Singaporean community in Qatar at a reception.
President Halimah will be accompanied by Mr Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman, Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Minister of State for Trade and Industry Ms Low Yen Ling, Members of Parliament Mr Henry Kwek and Mr Sharael Taha, as well as officials from the President’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Enterprise Singapore, and the Singapore Food Agency.
During President Halimah’s absence, Mr Eddie Teo, Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, will exercise the function of the Office of the President.
