Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee Yuan Jiajun will visit Singapore from 16 to 19 July 2023 at the invitation of Minister for Communications and Information and Second Minister for Home Affairs Josephine Teo. This will be Secretary Yuan’s first visit to Singapore in his current capacity.
Secretary Yuan will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and be hosted to separate meals by Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat and Minister Josephine Teo. Secretary Yuan will also meet Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean.
Minister Josephine Teo and Secretary Yuan will speak at the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity-New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Regional Cooperation Forum on 18 July 2023. Secretary Yuan and his delegation will also be attending the launch of the Chongqing Week in Singapore on 16 July 2023 and visit A*STAR’s Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre, Changi Airport, National Cancer Centre Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and National University of Singapore.
