Visit of Julian Hill MP, Chair of the Australia-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Network Under the S R Nathan Fellowship, 31 October to 6 November 2023

Mr Julian Hill MP, Chair of the Australia-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Network, will visit Singapore under the S R Nathan Fellowship from 31 October to 6 November 2023, at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan. Mr Hill is also the Chair of the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit, and Chair of the Select Committee on Workforce Australia Employment Services.

 

During his visit, Mr Hill will be hosted to lunch by Minister Balakrishnan, as well as call on Minister for Communications and Information and Second Minister for Home Affairs Josephine Teo and Senior Minister of State for Defence and Manpower Zaqy Mohamad. He will be hosted to dinner by parliamentarians from the Singapore-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group, and receive briefings from the Auditor-General’s Office, Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS).

 

The S R Nathan Fellowship is a high-level programme for foreign leaders, prominent personalities, and opinion shapers to visit Singapore to exchange ideas and experiences with Singapore leaders and senior government officials on issues of mutual interest. The Fellowship was launched by former President S R Nathan and then-Minister for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam in November 2012.
