Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Han Zheng will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 7 to 8 November 2023. This is his first official visit to Singapore in his current capacity.
Vice President Han’s visit reaffirms the longstanding and substantive relations between Singapore and China, which were upgraded to an “All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership” earlier this year. The visit will be an opportunity for both sides to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, and to exchange views on regional and global developments.
Vice President Han will call on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and be hosted to lunch by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 8 November. He will also have separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat and Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean. In addition, Vice President Han will speak at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum on 8 November 2023.
