A citizen of Singapore can only renounce his/her Singapore citizenship if he/she can fulfil the following 3 conditions:
(a) Is or over the age of 21 years;
(b) Of sound mind; and
(c) Is also or is about to become a citizen of another country
To obtain the Application for Renunciation of Citizenship package, please email the Singapore Embassy and provide your full name (as in your NRIC/Singapore passport), NRIC, date of birth, gender and contact details. The application package will include instructions, forms and list of documents to be submitted. Please read the instructions carefully and complete all the forms before submitting the application with the necessary documents, payment including a certified true copy of your foreign citizenship certificate and passport for processing.

NOTES:
1. All renunciation applications are processed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority in Singapore. Processing time is approximately 2 to 3 months from the date of receipt of the complete application package.
2. Once processed and approved, the ICA will send you a letter (or through the Embassy) stating that you are no longer a citizen of Singapore.
3. Please make sure to provide your updated / preferred mailing address.
