LOGO DESIGN COMPETITION
TO COMMEMORATE THE
60TH ANNIVERSARY OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN SINGAPORE AND THAILAND
Overview
Singapore and Thailand will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations in 2025. To commemorate this milestone, the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok is organising a logo design competition. The winning design will feature prominently in commemorative celebrations in 2025, in both Singapore and Thailand. This contest is organised in partnership with Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, with the strong support of Singapore Airlines and Frasers Property Limited.

Eligibility
- The competition is open to all Singaporean and Thai nationals aged 15 years and above, residing in Singapore or Thailand, except officials from both Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore.
- Participants will be required to furnish proof of residency and nationality.
Submission
- Participation is on an individual basis, and each participant can submit only one entry.
- Designs should reflect traits unique to Singapore and Thailand. They should also incorporate the theme of the commemorative year,
Singapore-Thailand: Realising Opportunities for New Growth – STRONG @ 60.
- Entries should be submitted in both colour and black-and-white. Designs must be submitted as PNG and/or PDF files in high resolution (300dpi) and file sizes of no larger than 7mb. For quality reproduction purposes, the winning entry must later be submitted in scalable vector graphic format.
- No controversial or offensive symbols should be used in the design submissions.
- Submissions should not have any visible watermarks, signatures, or branding.
- Designs created using AI generative models will not be accepted.
- Submissions should be accompanied with a detailed description of the design (max 300 words), including the design inspiration, symbolic meaning of the graphics, and the colours used. This can be in English or in Thai.
- Entries must be submitted to https://go.gov.sg/st60-logo by 2359hrs on Friday, 15 November 2024 (Bangkok time). Late entries will not be accepted.
- Submissions that do not comply with the abovementioned requirements will not be accepted.
- Entries will be scored according to the following criteria:
a. Overall aesthetic;
b. Creativity and originality;
c. Relevance; and
d. Thoughtfulness of design choice.
Terms and Conditions
- Participants affirm that their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
- All participants hereby authorise, consent, and grant the Singapore and Royal Thai Governments (and their official partners) the absolute and unrestricted right to all intellectual property rights, including the right to use, reproduce, modify, and publish the winning design in part or in its entirety in whatever manner either Government deems appropriate.
- Any use of the logo outside official capacities requires approval from either Government.
- If the winner is determined to have violated any rules, they will be required to forfeit or return the prize, even if the determination is made after the prize has been awarded.
- Participation in this competition entails acceptance of all its rules and waives the possibility of protesting results.
- Judging decisions are final and may not be appealed. If no entry is selected, the organisers reserve the right to declare no winner and run the competition again at a later date.
Prizes and award
- There will be one (1) single winner.
- The winner will be informed directly by the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok. The winning logo and the winner’s name will be posted on the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok and the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore’s social media pages, as well as other social media pages of the Singapore Government and Royal Thai Government. The winner will also be invited to an award presentation ceremony in early 2025.
- The winner has to confirm the acceptance of the prize within three working days. If the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok is unable to contact the potential winner, this may result in disqualification and/or the selection of an alternate winner from among remaining eligible submissions.
- The winner will receive one (1) economy class round trip ticket on Singapore Airlines (between Bangkok/Phuket and Singapore), a three-day-two-night (3D2N) stay at a Frasers Hospitality serviced residence, and THB 40,000 in cash.
- The terms and conditions set forth by the respective sponsors are final.
- Non-cash prizes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- The winner will be responsible for all additional taxes and surcharges, and for processing his/her entry requirements.
