On behalf of the people of Singapore, I warmly congratulate Your Majesty and the people of Brunei Darussalam on the joyous occasion of Brunei’s 35th National Day.
Brunei’s rapid progress and prosperity are testament to Your Majesty’s strong and astute leadership. I am confident that Your Majesty will lead Brunei to even greater heights of success in the years ahead.
Singapore and Brunei share a special and enduring friendship, underpinned by flourishing people-to-people relations and robust cooperation in various sectors. I was pleased to have made my first State Visit to Brunei in May 2018 and that our countries have continued to advance bilateral cooperation across many fields. With Your Majesty’s strong support, I believe that the future holds even greater promise for bilateral ties between Singapore and Brunei.
My husband and I continue to hold fond memories of the warm hospitality extended to us during my State Visit. We take this opportunity to wish Your Majesty and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha good health and success, and we look forward to meeting you again soon.
