Singapore’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other International Organisations at Geneva, Umej Bhatia, made an introductory call on the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on 8 November 2019. Ambassador Bhatia and Dr Ghebreyesus had a wide ranging discussion on issues including aging, non-communicable diseases, pandemic preparedness and opportunities for further cooperation between Singapore and the WHO.
