          President Tony Tan Keng Yam, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan have written to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu respectively to condemn the car bomb attack in Ankara, Turkey on 17 February 2016.

                I was deeply saddened to learn of the car bomb attack which took place in Ankara on 17 February 2016.  On behalf of the people of Singapore, I offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

 

                Singapore condemns this horrific attack which has claimed so many innocent lives.  Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and the people of Turkey during this period of grief.  We also hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.

                I was shocked to hear of the tragic car bomb explosion in Ankara on 17 February 2016.  On behalf of the Government of Singapore, I extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost their loved ones. 

 

                Singapore strongly condemns this vicious act of terror which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives.  We stand in solidarity with Turkey and remain resolute in our efforts to combat terrorism.
