Entry and Visa Requirements for foreigners

With effect from 9 February 2024, holders of Ordinary Passports issued by the People’s Republic of China will be exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 30 days in Singapore. Holders of Diplomatic, Public Affairs and Service Passports issued by the PRC will continue to be exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 30 days in Singapore as per current treatment.

Holders of all other travel documents issued by the PRC must continue to apply for an entry visa before travel into Singapore. These include the PRC Travel Document, Hong Kong SAR Document of Identity (DOI) and Macau SAR Travel Permit.

If you are holding other passports/ travel documents, you may check if you require a visa at ICA’s website.

A Singapore visa is not an immigration pass. It is a pre-entry permission for the holder of a valid visa to travel to, and seek entry into, Singapore. The grant of an immigration pass will be determined by the ICA officers at the point of entry. The period of stay granted is not tied to the validity of your visa.

Travellers are advised to refer to further entry requirements at ICA’s website prior to travelling to Singapore.
