SINGAPORE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2023

 

The Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in Hong Kong has been designated as an Overseas Polling Station for the Singapore Presidential Election 2023.

 

The polling is currently scheduled to be conducted on Friday, 1 September 2023 from 8.00am to 8.00pm (HKT) for Singaporeans who have opted to vote in-person. The address of the Consulate-General is 18 Harcourt Road, Admiralty Centre Tower 1, 9th Floor Units 901-2. If you had opted for postal voting, there is no need to be present at the Consulate-General. Instead, you should mail out the return envelope containing your marked postal ballot paper by the eve of Polling Day, i.e., 31 Aug 2023.

 

For Singaporeans who have successfully registered to vote at the Singapore Consulate-General in Hong Kong, kindly note the following points:

 

1. Voters are required to produce their identification document (original or digital NRIC via Singpass or valid passport) and Poll letter or ePoll card for voting. Please note that photocopies of these documents will not be accepted.

2. Voters are advised to avoid the peak period from 10.00am to 2.00pm, if possible.

3. Accompanying non-voters and bulky items will not be allowed into the Consulate-General premises.

4. Voters should refrain from wearing attire with images, or carrying with them items to the polling station, that may be construed as influencing other voters or canvassing support for any particular candidate. If they do so, they may be turned away by election officials. Examples include (but are not limited to):

  a. Shirts, clothing, bags, or badges with prints that are identical to or closely resemble a candidate's symbol, or bear words that may be interpreted as showing support for a candidate; and

  b. Objects that are identical to or closely resemble a candidate's symbol and would likely be associated with a candidate by the public.

5. To ensure the safety and security of all visitors to the polling station, bag checks will be conducted at the entrance of the Consulate-General.

6. No photography or recording is allowed within the polling station.

 

Please note that all regular consular and notarial services will be suspended on Friday, 1 September 2023, and resume on Monday, 4 September 2023. For emergency consular services, please contact our duty officer at +852 9466 1251.
