HONG KONG, 12 MARCH 2017.  Consul-General of Singapore in Hong Kong Ms Foo Teow Lee attended the international football friendly match between the Singapore Women National Team and Hong Kong Women Representative Team, held in Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground on 12 March 2017.  The match is part of the National Team’s preparations for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Asian Cup 2018 Qualifiers in April 2017.  The two teams engaged in a competitive match over 90 minutes, with the Hong Kong Women Representative Team emerging winner of the match with a 2-0 win. 

Consul-General Foo commended both teams for their efforts at the match, “The football match was a good show of sportsmanship and friendship between the women’s football teams of Singapore and Hong Kong.  Both teams put up a good fight.  I hope to see continued interaction between the sports teams of Singapore and Hong Kong.  Congratulations to Hong Kong and well done Singapore!”
