Study Visit to Hong Kong by the 24th Governance and Leadership Programme 8 - 10 May 2017

HONG KONG, 10 MAY 2017. The Singapore Consulate-General in Hong Kong hosted delegates from the 24th Governance and Leadership Programme (GLP), led by Accountant-General Mr Ow Fook Chuen. The GLP is a three-and-a-half week full-time milestone programme organised by the Civil Service College, Singapore. The Programme is designed for director-level officers of the Singapore Public Service, which aims to equip these officers with a holistic perspective of public sector governance.

 

As a key component of the GLP, 40 delegates under the 24th GLP visited Hong Kong for a three-day study visit. While in Hong Kong, the delegates visited and received briefings from various organisations, including the Legislative Council, Civil Service Bureau, Hong Kong Housing Authority, West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, Our Hong Kong Foundation, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. Consul-General of Singapore in Hong Kong Ms Foo Teow Lee also received and gave a briefing to the delegation.

 

The 24th GLP delegation departed Hong Kong on 10 May 2017, and continued their visit to Shenzhen, China.
